This is the program that runs everytime you start up SDV, and runs the mods.
Smapi Download The ContentContent Patcher Download the Content Patcher folder, and once unzipped, add that folder into the Mods folder in SDV.A lot of older mods were done by replacing the direct XNB files within the original game files, whereas CP mods overlay the original game assets without deleting or affecting them.This means its much safer, quicker and easier to change things by adding or removing a CP mod folder to or from the Mods folder, than it is to make changes to direct XNB files and potentially lose the originals. XNBcli (optional) A program for unpacking and repacking xnb files for those who want to insert images directly into the games files. This overwrites the originals so backup the original files first. Smapi Mac OS Users AsThis is particularly relevant for Mac OS users as images with semi-transparency may not load correctly when added via a content patcher mod. The semi-transparency issue should be solved in SMAPI 2.8 Beta.4 (paired with SDV 1.3.29 Beta), but if you are still on the previous SDV 1.3, editing XNBs directly is the easiest way to avoid the issue. Smapi Code According ToAlso removed the ref to system.windows.forms, altered to code according to your fork and built it. It seems to load up now but its still throwing errors at me in terminal about system. Tho it still gives me errors when its trying to load the mods. For the threading part,I found with the original code the game window is not active and I can not move my mouse and click a button although the game is actually running.After several attempts, when I made the game running in the main thread and also start the console thread, I found it worked. Actually Im really new to c programming,just started a week a ago and only know some basic grammer So if I ever misunderstood something,please point it out. It seems to work quite nice so i might try using that if no one else will do:). Id recommend checking out the forks from people whove added the support themselves, like MacLeeks. Copied over the necessary files over to the SDV folder and it worked. Could be that alternate packages are needed for the missing classes. I have tried with LookupAnything but it give me errors like: FrameworkTargetsGenericTarget.cs(99,100): error CS0246: The type or namespace name Texture2D could not be found. The README in the latest release has a section about compiling the mod which may help. I dont have Linux myself, but Id be happy to upload a Linux build to Nexus Mods if you can compile it. If there are code changes required, feel free to submit a pull request. Pathoschild If I can borrow a Mac tomorrow Ill try to compile it in OS X. I have test it around with these two mods and I do experience lagging sometimes, but its playable. I just need some volunteers to try it out the more the better. The beta adds a separate launcher instead so you can easily go back to playing without mods (just like the current version on Windows). You should restore the original launcher to prevent confusion later. Dont forget to mention whether you play on Linux, Mac, or Windows.
